Coach Dan Shaffer

Coach Shaffer has coached student athletes for over 12 years.  He is a graduate of Green Mountain High School where he was a 3 sport athlete, and won a State Championship in 1999 playing football for long-time legendary coach Don McGatlin.  Coach Shaffer was honored to be selected as a team captain and play football for Fisher Deberry at the United States Air Force Academy, and graduated with a BS in Management in 2004 with honors on the Commandants List.  The coaches listed above and others before them had a profound impact on his life and helping him develop into who he is today, which is one of the reasons he coaches.  Coach Shaffer firmly believes that the lessons learned while playing sports will help young people develop into the spouses, parents, and leaders our country needs them to be in the future.
